Die Frage ist nur was dann "hier hin" bedeutet. 
4-5 Daten in Europa und wir könnten uns mit einem D-Termin glücklich schätzen. Und wenn dann wahrscheinlich sogar nur Festivals.
Ich möchte eine schöne Tour mit 3-4 Terminen. Aber das wird es (wenn überhaupt) nur mit nem neuen Album geben.

Sorry, wenn ich deine Hoffnungen da zerschlagen muss, aber es wurde noch nirgendwo bestätigt, dass sich Tool auch nur ansatzweise in einem Studio befinden. Maynards Aussage bezog sich auf den Songwritingprozess. Da ist er mittlerweile hinzugestoßen, um die Texte und Gesangsmelodien auszuarbeiten. Ob er damit fertig ist, weiß aber niemand…und Tool sind eine Band die erst mit 95% fertigen Songs ins Aufnahmestudio geht. Hinzu kommt, dass Adams Freundin/Frau ein Baby erwartet und Maynard letztens auch ein Ultraschallbild gepostet hat. So sehr ich es mir auch dieses Jahr wünschen würde, ich schätze realistisch erst im Frühjahr 2015 mit einem neuen Album und darauffolgend dann mit Europatourneen. Ich lasse mich aber gerne vom Gegenteil überzeugen…

Mit "im Studio" ist ja nicht gemeint das sie bereits aufnehmen. Das sie seit Monaten im "Loft" sind und "jammen" und material schreiben, ausprobieren und konkretisieren ist ja schon sehr lange bekannt.
Natürlich gibt es keine konkreten Hinweise auf ein "bald" erscheinendes Album. Es kann dieses Jahr noch kommen, oder nächstes Jahr oder erst 2016.. who knows.
Hier gehts ja eigentlich darum,das sie wieder Liveshows spielen (u.a. auch viel in Mexico).
Muss nichts heißen. ich schau auf jeden Fall gespannt auf die Setlists. Vllt bekommt man ja schon neue Songfetzen präsentiert.
im August hieß es:
“It’s still the three of us right now and four of us it will be soon, you know, just working on all our parts and working on our compositions together,” Carey says, referring to Keenan’s current absence from the recording sessions. “Stylistically, we’re trying to push things in different ways, but it always comes out sounding like Tool no matter what we’re trying to do. We’re working everyday on it and it’s going really well, so I’m hoping we’ll get into the studio by the end of the year.”
When we asked about a possible 2013 release date for the album, Carey responded, “I doubt it. Right now, since we haven’t started tracking stuff at this point, it’ll be hard. We could have the record finished by the end of the year — that’s a possibility, but the logistics of getting it manufactured and getting the record company in line and all this stuff, I doubt we’ll be able to get it out before Christmas. We’ll see how it goes. Most likely, it’ll be early 2014.”

Work has begun on a brand new Tool album, with frontman Maynard James Keenan recently describing the process as 'tedious', expressing his nuisance and having to wait for band members to pen music for new tracks.
"I don't write the music. They write the music," he told Rolling Stone in November 2013. "I wait for them to bring music to me. They tend to go back over and over stuff. It's a long process. For a person like me, it can be a very tedious process. In some ways, they are bigger perfectionists. But you can only help support their talent so long. They don't have to go through it 700 times. They can trust that first thought. But that's their process, so you gotta let them do it." And is that process happening? "I couldn't tell you."

Ich muss die gängige Meinung hier im Fred leider teilen, dass Daten in den Staaten und Mexico einfach nichts über eine mögliche Tour aussagen, bis auf die Tatsache dass sie immer noch willig sind Shows zu spielen. 2011: Australien, Neuseeland 2012: USA 2013: Australien, Neuseeland, Japan.... 
Aber ich begreife nicht, warum eine neue Tour bei uns nur mit nem neuen Album klappen sollte... es soll auch Leute geben denen es egal ist, ob neues Material vorhanden ist, oder nicht
Könnte mir das so wie bei der NIN Tour 2013 vorstellen... 11 Shows in Europa, genug Gage, also warum nicht...

Ja mein Gott, sie kommen halt nicht ohne Album. 
Sicherlich würde es auch ohne funktionieren, aber was solls.

Sie waren glaube ich sogar mal für eine Europatour im Gespräch, müsste 2011 gewesen sein…da waren sie zumindest lange in der Gerüchteküche. Haben sie dann aber wohl doch nicht gemacht, angeblich um das Album fertigzustellen. Ist auf jeden Fall ungewöhnlich, dass so ne große Rockband Europa einfach mal knappe sieben Jahre auslässt…in den letzten fünf Jahren waren sie jedenfalls immer auf Tour…nur nie lange und vor allem nie in Europa.

For those of you who only like NEWS about TOOL, here's something that should be of great interest. The impenetrable veil of my dark scrying mirror FINALLY CLEARED today - enough so, in fact - that I could perceive a large heptagram on a complexly lit stage where four performers were dwarfed by dramatic video projections. Evidently the sonic and visual extravaganza that I was receiving is a rare glimpse of FUTURE TOOL U.S.A. TOUR DATES in the month of JANUARY, 2016 e.v. However, with some of the images in the depths of the black glass not being clearly distinct... YET, fans will have to keep checking back (SOON) on the Tool websites and Tool facebook page for an official announcement containing a list of the SHOW DATES, CITIES and VENUES, as well as for info about a tour support act(s). Regarding an opening band(s), what I was able to discern through the ever-shifting veil will in all likeliness be exciting to many Tool enthusiasts. STAY TUNED, FOLKS... as my trusty SCRYING MIRROR CONTINUES TO CLEAR...

Ach TOOL. Würdet ihr nicht so verdammt affengeile und einzigartige Musik machen, ihr wärt mir ja schon sowas von egal... Und so, eine Amerikatour zeigt Aktivität, ist aber auch bitter, dass die werten Herren anscheinend keinen transatlantischen Flüge buchen können.
Hoffnung auf ein Album mache ich mir damit nicht, das bringt ja auch nix
Eins steht jedenfalls fest, sollte ich mal nen Amerikaurlaub planen werde ich den an TOOL ausrichten..
Bis jetzt waren es aber doch meist eher Einzelkonzerte am Ende der welt oder ? Eine Richtige Tour wäre schon mal was in Richtung geregelter Bandaktivität.
