Rolling Stones Add Bruce Springsteen, Lady Gaga, Black Keys to Final '50' Show
The Rolling Stones have invited Bruce Springsteen, Lady Gaga and the Black Keys to their final "50 and Counting" concert, celebrating an astounding half-century as a band, being held Saturday at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. The concert will be telecast live pay-per-view in a Ken Ehrlich-produced special called "One More Shot."

The Rolling Stones are mounting a 2013 late spring North American arena tour that will total 18 concerts with multiple-night stands in some cities. On this round of tour dates, arenas with professional and college sports commitments are likely to be sitting on the sidelines
1. They will do a small set of shows in North America this summer, with a side trip to Glastonbury. It's all agreed upon by the band. Now it is up to the PR people to arrange for a nice announcement, coming soon. No other shows in mainland Europe but they will take care of all of those who do not have Glastonbury tickets with something extra.
2. It is supposed to be a surprise. I don't want to ruin that part. If you live in USA you will be well covered both East Coast and West Coast. More than a handful shows but not a lot. If you live if Europe you need to travel. Not far but don't expect them to come to your doorstep.

Aber irgendwie finde ich 18 Konzerte recht viel und damit unglaubwürdig. Auf iorr.org war die Sprache von "most of June" in den USA. Das wäre dann ein straffer Tourplan. Aber sie könnten natürlich schon im Mai anfangen.
Alles in allem bin ich etwas enttäuscht, dass sie es schaffen 18 Konzerte in den USA zu spielen und kein einziges auf dem europäischen Festland stattfinden soll. Wahrscheinlich hat der neue Promoter die besten Venuedeals in den USA.
Sollte die "Surprise" in den UK allerdings wirklich ein Open-Air in London an einem Wochenende im Juli mit bezahlbaren Karten sein, dann bin ich mehr als glücklich und fliege rüber.
Die Gerüchte um den Hyde Park erweitern sich ja auch auf das Olympic Stadium. Das sollte im Juli für Livekonzerte eröffnet werden. Mit über 80.000 Tickets sollten die Stones also auch zu moderaten Preisen zu finanzieren sein. Die Sicht ist mir erstmal wurscht, bei den Stones zählt für mich zurzeit eher "1x im Leben Dabeisein ist alles!"

nett, aber bescheidene praktik.

They will do approx 20 shows including 2 Philly, 2 LV, Glastonbury, 2 more London (not O2 but major shows).
After these 20 or so shows they will of course look into more shows, but do not count on it.
Rolling Stones 2013 U.S. Tour: AEG In, Paul Dainty/Virgin Out, Sources Say
A deal for Australian promoter Paul Dainty and Virgin Music to promote a North American Rolling Stones tour of a confirmed 18 shows has fallen through, and AEG Live has stepped in to promote the shows, sources tell Billboard. The Stones will still roll and an announcement for the tour -- which still has not been officially confirmed -- will likely come before the end of the month.

Ne Stones Tour müsste doch eigentlich eine Lizenz zum Gelddrucken sein, für alle Beteiligten 
Ich verstehe nicht wirklich, wie eine Tour mit 18 Shows "confirmed" sein kann, wenn es keine unterschriebenen Verträge gibt. Wie kann ein Deal platzen, nachdem scheinbar schon Arenen, Hallen oder sonstwas gebucht sind? Das macht man doch andersherum, oder?
Das AEG einspringen soll, wäre schön, weil die auch das British Summer Time im Hyde Park veranstalten.
Ich denke, das Glastonbury findet nur statt, wenn die Stones es "gerne wollen". ~$5m kann das Glasto sich sicherlich nicht leisten. Aber ich bin immer noch der Meinung, dass die Gerüchte um das Glasto und Hyde Park nur gemeinsam funktionieren.
Außerdem hätte ich gedacht, dass so kurz vor Beginn der Tour längst alles geklärt ist.
Würde mich nicht wundern, wenn der Artikel ne Ente ist.
