They will be releasing an album on June next year titled "The Soundless Echo". Thom and Jonny talked about it on an interview few months ago. and yes, they will be having a world wide tour sometime next fall.

in Rainbows, Kid A oder OK Computer waren doch auch nich wirklich Komplexe Namen?
Ich finde den Titel Schön, lässt einigen Raum für Inhalte.
Dass das Album übrigens kommt war länger bekannt. Radiohead sind ja auch schon im Studio. Der Name wäre dann allerdings neu!

Bezweifle mal ganz stark, dass Radiohead noch ins aktuelle Konzept des Ring passt bzw. dass das Publikum so einen Headliner im großen Maße noch annehmen würde. Smashing Pumpkins haben doch auch garnicht sooo gut funktioniert, oder?

We’ve been working on material on and off for a year now and we’ve had the summer off so yes, we’re basically taking stock on Monday and seeing what we need to do with the material to move it to those final stages. We’re just returning to it with fresh ears and taking stock of where we are and how close we are to finishing stuff, really, and we won’t know till Monday.”

Radiohead back to studio to ‘take stock’ of new recorded material
Johnny Greenwood hat vor 2 Wochen schonmal drüber geredet, dass man es noch nicht wisse, wie man das künftige Album veröffentlichen wird.
Radiohead unsicher über neues Album
Radiohead werden sich heute treffen, um darüber zu sprechen, ob sie ihr neues Album verwerfen und von vorn beginnen sollen, weil sie mit dem neuen Material nicht voll und ganz zufrieden sind.
Die "Creep"-Rocker haben das letzte Jahr damit verbracht, an einem Nachfolger zu ihrer 2007er Hitplatte "In Rainbows" zu arbeiten, und Schlagzeuger Philip Selway verrät, dass die Band sich nicht sicher ist, ob sie die neuen Songs veröffentlichen oder sie verwerfen und noch mal neu anfangen sollen. Heute wollen die Musiker sich nun treffen, um darüber zu diskutieren.
Selway: "Wir arbeiten jetzt mit Unterbrechungen seit einem Jahr an Material und wir hatten den Sommer frei, also, ja, wir werden am Montag im Grunde Bilanz ziehen und sehen, was wir mit dem Material machen müssen, um es zu Ende zu bringen. Wir kehren einfach mit frischen Ohren dazu zurück und schätzen ab, wo wir sind, und wie nahe wir daran sind, die Sachen fertig zu stellen, und das werden wir erst am Montag wissen... Man weiß nie, vielleicht treffen wir uns am Montag und nachdem wir über die Sachen gesprochen haben, schmeißen wir vielleicht alles raus und sagen, vielleicht müssen wir noch mal von vorne anfangen. Wer weiß, das ist im Moment alles ungewiss."

Jonny: "10 pieces (tracks) maybe some more. I don’t know for certain. In the group I am somebody who becomes nervous and irritated quickly and I’m not taking too much part in the serious part of the album."

I think this italian writer (referred to here) has, either thorough over-enthusiasm, or frustration at all my non-committal answers, mistranslated me a little….in fact we haven’t quite finished the album – in the studio at the moment – nor have we yet considered any touring. The plan is to have no plan until the record is finished….hope that’s a little clearer!

Thom Yorke ist zuletzt als Laudator bei den Worldwide Awards aufgetreten. Bei denen trat Gilles Peterson von BBC1 als Host auf. Anschließend äußerte Peterson folgendes
I think we’re just lucky that Radiohead are having some free time at the moment. And Thom was just hanging out. He enjoyed himself. And there’s a new Radiohead album if you’re wondering. Just done I believe.
