Chicago's SOIL have set "True Self" as the title of their new album, due in April via DRT Entertainment. A track from the album, entitled "Fight for Life", is available for streaming audio on the band's official web site, www.soil-music.com (audio player in upper right-hand corner) and at www.myspace.com/soil. Also available on the band's site is an audio message from the group's lead singer, A.J. Cavalier.
SOIL's follow-up to 2004's "Redefine" was recorded and mixed at Bomb Shelter studios in Los Angeles, California with producer Ulrich Wild (STATIC-X, TAPROOT). The upcoming CD will be the group's first to feature Cavalier, who previously fronted the California-based DIESEL MACHINE (also featuring ex-DAMAGEPLAN frontman Patrick Lachman on guitar). The band's original vocalist, Ryan McCombs, has since joined the Texas act DROWNING POOL.
