Nein, es werden aus diesem Bandpool zwei bis drei Bands pro Gig supporten.

Aber bei den Namen ist das schon gut genug.

Coldplay's new album X&Y will be released by Parlophone
on 6th June,
preceded by the single Speed Of Sound on 23rd May.

The follow up to 2002's Brit and Grammy award winning
'A Rush Of Blood
To The Head', X&Y was recorded over the past year at
studios in the UK
and has been produced by Danton Supple (Morrissey,
Elbow), Ken Nelson
(Badly Drawn Boy, Kings of Convenience) and the band.

"We wanted to try new things out, to move our sound
along," says Jonny,
"but the focus remains on the songs, and Chris's voice is
sounding amazing.
Everyone is playing at the top of their game."

Following the release of X&Y the band embark on their
biggest world tour yet,
starting with dates in Europe. Support Acts confirmed for
the UK & Eire leg
of the tour include Doves, Supergrass, Elbow, Interpol,
and Morning Runner.

dass Interpol nicht in Deutschland spielen, nur weil sie
nicht aufm Southside spielen. Versteh ich nicht.

ich denke man kann davon ausgehen, dass Skorpio versucht hat Interpol zu bekommen... haben sie aber nicht... die zwei naheliegensten Möglichkeiten sind, dass Interpol entweder zu dem Zeitraum garnicht in Deutschland sind -> auch nicht bei Coldplay... oooder sie dürfen nicht auf anderen Festivals spielen, weil Coldplay sie exklusiv auf ihrer Open-Air Tour dabei haben möchte... aber warum sollten sie letzteres wollen? sie alleine werden ja schon mehr als genug Leute anziehen - dazu brauchen sie die mehr oder weniger unbekannten Interpol nicht exklusiv an Board zu haben... sehr viele die zu Coldplay gehen dürften i.d.R. nicht unbedingt dieselbe Musik hören wie wir... sondern sie werden Coldplay aus dem Radio kennen und toll finden...

Naja, Kaan. Interpol verkaufen mittlerweile alles aus, egal wo die spielen. Die passen wohl einfach von der Musik her und Coldplay haben sie deshalb gewählt[addsig]

darum ging es ja auch nicht. ich hab ja gesagt, dass Coldplay Interpol wohl eben NICHT wegen den Ticketverkaufszahlen gewählt haben... was indirekt beinhaltet, dass Coldplay sie wegen der Musik gewählt haben...

Aber Interpol sind/waren bei MLK unter Vertrag. Vieleicht
lags daran? Hmm, aber ist jetzt fast schon Off-Topic.

COLDPLAY BACK IN ACTION
COLDPLAY have made a sensational live return at a secret
show in LOS ANGELES

The band are currently on the west coast of America and
are scheduled to play at the Universal Amphitheatre this
weekend for radio station KCRW. However, last night
(March 11) the group played a warm up at the nearby
Troubadour nightclub - which holds in the region of 400
people. It was the first time members of the public have
been able to hear songs from the group's forthcoming
album ’X&Y’, which is due in June. During the 60 minute
set, the band played four new songs, including opener
'Square One', 'White Shadows', and piano ballad 'What If'.


They also played a host of their biggest chart hits
including 'In My Place' and 'Clocks', ending with a crowd
singalong of 'Yellow'.


At the start of the gig the band looked nervous, but by
second song 'In My Place' all four members were grinning
at each other and looked glad to be back.


Singer Chris Martin said: "Well, here we are once again. We
can't quite believe we're back and playing a concert, and
that some of you waited since about February."


Martin was referring to the fact that although tickets for
the gig were made available at 5pm from the venue on the
day, the news leaked, meaning some fans were at the
venue, waiting outside in the California sunshine from
8.30am to ensure their place.


The show comes as the band ease themselves into playing
again after a recording break of about 18 months. Last
week the group did an open rehearsal for 40 friends and
fans, and are also planning a top secret club gig in the UK
in June to precede their massive arena dates.

Beim zweiten haben sie sich dann schon eingespielt...und
da bin ich.

Wie siehts aus?
Ich hätte da ein paar Fragen zum Konzert in Köln:

1. Wann fängts jetzt wirklich an?
2. Darf man Tetra-Paks mit reinnehmen? (hab keinen Bock
Unmenegen Geld an Bier auszugeben und nüchtern steh
ich das nicht durch. )

Meint ihr Scorpio kann mir darauf antworten?

Und was mich vollkommen verwirrt:
Im Ticketpreis ist die Zugfahrt im VRS Bund inbegriffen.
Schön und gut, dann komm ich wenigstens umsonst
gemütlich dahin. ABER: Die Haltestelle am Fühlinger See
(Oranjehofstrasse) wird am 17.6. gar nicht angefahren.
Jedenfalls nicht vom Kölner HBF. Hat da jemand
Erfahrung? Also werden da Sonderstrassenbahnen oder so
eingesetzt? Wäre ja schlimm, wenn nicht...wie soll man
sollst dahin und vorallem wieder wegkommen?
