Lollapalooza Expands to Israel. Music festival will hit Tel Aviv in August 2013
Israel is about become the third international location for Lollapalooza, the music festival's organizers announced on Saturday night. Lollapalooza Israel will take place in Tel Aviv's Yarkon Park from August 20th through August 22nd, 2013.

Mal sehen, was die für Acts an Land holen für Israel. 
denke mal die gleichen die zu der zeit auf leeds/reading, pukkelpop, frequency, etc. unterwegs sind.
Wird eh interessant, wenn die Festivals nun immer mehr Räume erschließen. Das wird für die europäischen Booker sicherlich nicht einfacher.
Das könnte echt heftig werden für die Augustfestivals im deutschsprachigen Raum. Die großen Headliner spielen an dem Wochenende sicherlich dann alle da und werden sicherlich nicht sofort nach Mitteleuropa reisen innerhalb eines Tages.
Immer mehr Festivals bedeutet auch, dass viele Bands weniger eigene Konzerte geben. War bei der Faith No More Reunion z.B. sehr schade...
Anyway. Bin gespannt, ob's bei Israel bleibt. Werden nächstes Jahr wieder nach Chicago reisen!

Ich denke schon, dass man was bieten wird. Headliner wie die Foo Fighters, Muse & Co. erwarte ich da schon.
Geld und Connections hat man genug und man wird sicherlich nicht nur was kleines aufziehen wollen.
Ich seh gerade, dass es wohl unter der Woche stattfinden wird - also Dienstag bis Donnerstag. Von daher kann es doch gut sein, dass die da was größeres auffahren.

Die meisten Acts sind doch eh wegen Pukkelpop, Reading/Leeds und co. ab MItte August in Europa, von daher wirds das Bandangebot wohl nicht unbedingt vergrößern. Aber schauen wir mal.

Israeli news organizations reported that organizers and promoters were running into issues recruiting top-billed artists in addition to facing financial and production setbacks in setting up the festival in Yarkon Park, according to Ynetnews, the website of the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper.
