No Direction Home Festival 2012 (UK)

No Direction Home Festival is the newest creation from the team behind End of the Road Festival. We spent 2 years searching the fields of England for the perfect location to launch our second festival, eventually we stumbled upon Welbeck Abbey nestled on the edge of Sherwood Forest.

From its medieval origins as a Premonstratensian Abbey, through its years as a Cavendish stronghold, to the ultimate Victorian country estate, Welbeck has always reinvented itself through the ages. The Welbeck Project is an ambitious plan to transform one of the most important collections of heritage buildings in Nottinghamshire into a sustainable rural community: an environment where ideas and creativity can flourish. This vision is true to Welbeck’s tradition of innovation, and is based upon the four pillars: the arts, education, the creative industries and rural diversification – bringing diversity and vitality to a rural community.
