Peter Gabriel returns with his eighth solo studio album, and this time he is reinterpreting twelve tracks by other artists. Produced by Bob Ezrin whose credits include Alice Cooper, Kiss and more recently, The Deftones, Scratch My Back covers a diverse array of artists. There are songs by Gabriel's peers like David Bowie (Heroes), Paul Simon (The Boy In The Bubble), Lou Reed (The Power Of The Heart) and Neil Young (Philadelphia), but there are also tracks by recent artists including Radiohead (Street Spirit), Regina Spektor (Apres Moi), Elbow (Mirrorball) and Arcade Fire (My Body Is A Cage).This album will delight Gabriel fans and also introduce a younger audience to his work via the interesting array of cover versions on offer here.
