Diese Woche soll wohl nochwas kommen....zumindest in Sydney wird wohl zum 30jährigen "Faith" in voller Länge gespielt und gefilmt werden. Manche erwarten "Trilogy II" (Faith, Kiss m ³, Wish)

also ich hoffe ja dass sie am Bestival ein normales Konzert Set spielen werden.

Gerade ist der erste Abend in Sydney zu Ende gegangen...45 Songs....

1st set:

10:15 Saturday Night, Accuracy, Grinding Halt, Another Day, Object, Subway Song, Foxy Lady (RS on vocals), Meathook, So What, Fire In Cairo, It's Not You, Three Imaginary Boys

2nd set (with Roger O'Donnell):

A Reflection, Play for Today, Secrets, In Your House, Forever! (instead of Three?), The Final Sound, A Forest, M, At Night, Seventeen Seconds.

3rd set (with Roger and Lol Tolhurst):

The Holy Hour, Primary, Other Voices, All Cats Are Grey (Lol played the closing notes on this. Nice!), The Funeral Party, Doubt (Roger on the magical tambourine : ) ), The Drowning Man, Faith (not extended).

1st Encore:
World War, I'm Cold, Plastic Passion, Boy's Don't Cry, Killing Another, Jumping Someone Else's Train (with keyboards), Another Journey By Train

Nach diesem Konzert in der Oper von Sydney ( , wo bleibt die DVD?)...LNS with open end...4h Cure....again again again....das ganze Post-Punk-Zeugs aus den 70ern erspare ich euch mal, weil kennt ja niemand, außer Boys don´t cry..aber gut!

Es gibt wieder Interviews...Zusammenfassung:

1. Talks again about wanting to work with Severin again and that The Glove would be top of his list of future collaborations!

2. He's looking forward to Bestival because they haven't played a proper Cure show in years. "its the longest we've ever gone" without a show. He hasn't decided what they're going to do or how they're going to do it.

3. He says it will kickstart them back into work again and into the second part of the album!!

4. He's not sure if the band wants to complete the follow up to 4:13 Dream. They're kinda avoiding discussing it!!

5. As the years go by the tours get shorter...so that's why they don't do dates in every country anymore. To keep the shows fresh he feels you have to reduce the amount of shows. Bands who flog themselves to death end up as imitations of themselves.

6. Two more collaborations done and will come out this year but he can't talk about either of them. (I'm guessing one of these is the track he did with James McCartney.)

7. However between now and this time next year The Cure will take precedence over anything else "Until I get the second half of this album out, I won't do another collaboration"

Ein neues Album! Plus Tour/Festivals?

Nach Samstag ist The Cure meine absolute Lieblings(live)band. Bin schwer für eine Tour, würde sie aber notfalls mit einem 2,5h+ Slot am Ring nehmen

Längst überfällig nicht ganz. 2012 wäre auf jeden Fall wieder das Jahr, welches für Konzerte/Festivals spricht. Seit 2000 gab es alle 4 Jahre ein neues Album und Konzerte in Europa.

Ich glaube eher an Festivals/ein paar einzelne Shows im Sommer (Loreley, ja das wäre toll), was Europa angeht.

Roger O Donell hat soeben ein Interview bei BBC gegeben. Auf die Frage: "What happens now? Touring? Recording?"

"I can´t say anything...(laughs)...Lots of people are going to be very very happy before too long."

Danach wurde noch über mögliche UK-Konzerte im Sommer gescherzt....hört sich schon mal sehr gut an.

Hier kann man es auch nochmal hören ab 4:20min.

Sommer 2012 steht, das hört sich zu gut. Hoffentlich Solo-Show in Deutschland.

Da auch, bisschen unsynchron, aber besser als nichts.

Leider wurden für´s TV nicht die besten Songs ausgewählt, aber trotzdem schön zu sehen.

Hoffe, genau wie Sunrise, auf einen Loreley-Gig. 2004 war echt unglücklich. Das Konzert war geplant, gab sogar Camping-Tickets für dieses Konzert...einen Tag (!) vorher wurde das Ganze dann aus "logistischen Gründen" (Earth, Wind & Fire sollten einen Tag später spielen, mussten kurzfristig absagen) nach Köln verlegt....das Ganze hatte am Ende etwas Einzigartiges: Ein komplettes Konzert im Hellen, da am Tanzbrunnen um 22 Uhr Schluss sein musste. Immerhin kamen sie schon um kurz nach halb acht auf die Bühne.

Da das ganze so kurzfristig war, waren auch nur ca. 5.000 Leute vor Ort. Viele standen an diesem Abend vor verschlossenen Türen am Felsen.

Also bitte nochmal nächstes Jahr. Die kennen ja nichts, auch mal die 4h voll zu machen. The Cure bei RaR? Gerne, Alterna von 23Uhr - 2Uhr. Leider unwahrscheinlich, da alles unter Headliner Mainstage unwahrscheinlich ist.
Hurricane? Vielleicht, bin immer noch der festen Überzeugung, dass Blink182 mit Freude ihren Slot räumen würden.

Eines habe ich zu bemängeln. Ich finde es gut, dass es wieder Keys gibt, finde aber auch, dass es ohne Keys auch gut funktioniert hat. Warum nicht wieder alles zusammen? Noch ne 2.Gitarre bitte. Porl hat das gut gemacht.

Also wollte ich fragen was es mit dem Album gifted quacks Auf sich hat.
Warum gibt es das nirgendwo zu kaufen und warum findet man es auch kaum im netz?
