Frank Black - Francis

Als Frank Black kann er auf ein zünftiges Solo-Schaffen zurückschauen, als Black Francis auf eine Karriere mit den Pixies. Die am 18. Oktober kommende Doppel-CD "FrankBlackFrancis" (Cooking Vinyl/Indigo) vereint beide Alter Egos

Das Material der ersten CD entstand im Vorfeld - ja, sogar nur ein paar Tage vor den Aufnahmen zum Pixies-Album, das später "Come On Pilgrim" heißen sollte und wurde seinerzeit als Hörproben-Sammlung für Produzent Gary Smith von Black spontan mit Akustikgitarre eingeschrammelt.
CD zwei enthält eine ebenfalls spontane Studio-Session des Herrn Black zusammen mit "The Two Pale Boys" und enthält Pixies- und Black-Stücke im experimentellen, alternativen Gewand, unterstützt von Trompete und Schummer-Gitarre.
