What we know at the moment is, that the first campsites will open on wednesday, 12:00. The Nordschleife will open on thursday, 10 am.
Further information will be on rock-am-ring.com later....hopefully
Propably "within a short time" if you know what I mean
But June 2nd won't be a problem I guess
hello,
just would like to know info in english about camping in rock am ring !
Could we put the car near the tent ?
or carpark and camping are separated ?
My friends want to sleep in the car (not a good idea I think....), but is it possible to do it ?
thanks !
in general camping & parking are separated at Rock am Ring.
The possibilities to have it that way (parking next to the tent) are:
a) Nordschleife:
The Nordschleife is a special campsite located on the racetrack.
PRO: parking next to tent, "RAR as it used to be before 2003", special atmosphere
CONTRA: Extra campingticket (30 €, already sold out), bit far away (but there is a shuttlebus)
b) campsite "Müllenbach"
it's a private campsite nearby. Rules are the same as they are on every other campsite (as far as i know), costs about 60€ for the RAR-days (i think)
c) the vehicle you have is a caravan
if thats true you can stay on the caravan campsites.
in general it's forbidden to sleep on the parking areas.
I don't think, that's forbidden to sleep in the car on the Nordschleife ( I bet nobody cares).
Müllenbach is private (as I said) so you don't have to worry about the RAR-Rules.
thanks for the infos !!!
ehm.,,so there isnt a free camping? dont understand
the caravan site and other sites officially provided by rock am ring are free. the only official camping site which is not for free, is the nordschleife. you have to buy tickets to camp there, but i think they are sold out for months. müllenbach is a private camping site where everyone can camp, but it costs extra money - because it is not hostet by the rock am ring hosts

I am so happy that I have Nordschleife Tickets!!
I hope to arrive there soon, and get a nice spot.
We're from Holland and would love to meet new people to party with!
