Kraftwerk kosten übrigens auch stolze 70+ Euro. Dass sie nicht zur selbstverliebten Instagram Zielgruppe ist was anderes.

Das mag sein und mir persönlich gefallen Kraftwerk (geh gar zum Sologig nach Stuttgart), aber - wie du eben schon sagst - zieht das nicht. Was ich sagen wollte, dass mit einem Head wie z.B. den Peppers (realistisch oder nicht) das Line Up im Ganzen besser von Außen aufgenommen werden würde. Jetzt ist es aber so, dass man vor allem kritisiert- weil Kraftwerk zu klein/ nicht zugkräftig und nicht rockig genug. Ein Problem, dass eine richtig starke Band an der Spitze ändern könnte.

Bringt aber auch nichts ein 4 Tages Festival (in der Festivalhochzeit) mit einem 2 Tages Festival (in der Nebensaison) zu vergleichen. Anscheinend ist auch einfach nicht so viel buchbar, sei es wegen Soloshows, der Nebensaison oder der Konkurrenz. Denke auch, dass das Festival besser ankommen würde, wenn man neben TW einen 2 großen Head hätte (und Kraftwerk als Late Night Schmankerl).

Steht es entsprechend der Namensbedeutung nicht! Auch hat sich der Musikgeschmack und die Genres seit den Anfangsjahren und dem Neustart in den 2000ern verlagert.

Das sehe ich genau andersrum! Toll, dass sich ein Festival mal solche Buchungen erlaubt und nicht the same old shit. Auch wenn da sicherlich weniger als bei Guetta los ist. Aber das bringt vielleicht auch ein gemischteres Publikum.

Ist mit Sicherheit besser. Ist halt immer ne Geld und Stressfrage. London ist halt meist recht günstig anfliegbar. Wenn du natürlich nen super Flug direkt in den Süden findest, würde ich den an deiner Stelle präferieren.

Na einfach nach London fliegen. Dann mit dem Bus oder dem Zug an die Küste. Dann mit der Fähre rüber und dann fix zum Gelände. Eigentlich auch nicht groß anders, wenn man andere Festivals außerhalb von Städten ansteuert.

Studio Brussel paints it black, yellow and red this week. A great occasion to introduce to you the Belgians who'll be performing at Rock Werchter 2018. Triggerfinger will perform at Rock Werchter on Thursday 5 July. Arsenal Music on Friday 6 July. ANGELE comes to the festival on Saturday 7 July. Equal Idiots and - previously announced - Roméo Elvis x Le Motel will be present on Sunday 8 July. Mal schauen was sie noch so raushauen. Hoffe auf etwas aus The XX, Liam, Jungle, Rodriguez und Jamiroquai. Ein Old School Act a la Iggy wäre auch fein.

Dire Straits wäre natürlich gigantisch

Normalerweise hätte ich ja noch Elton John getippt (vor allem er weil er noch nie dort gespielt hat), aber der ist ja da schon ausgebucht. Halte ihn aber für ne ziemlich sichere Nummer für 2020.

Bisschen Gossip zum Start. Auch wenn Eavis immer ähnliche Dinge erzählt. Spice Girls dürften natürlich Bullshit sein!

And while organiser Eavis is keeping schtum on the site, he's begun hinting at who we can expect to see on the huge stages next year.

Speaking to Radio 1 at the NME awards he coyly revealed that the biggest acts will be: "Two or three that have never played."

Now that is interesting as it immediately cancels several artists out.

Emily has previously hinted that she'd like Fleetwood Mac to take to the legendary stages, so perhaps they are being lined up. And The XX are rumoured to be in talks.

And of course the Spice Girls have been chatting about playing some reunion shows - the Legends slot perhaps?

The festival will return on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 and run till Sunday, June 30, so there's a bit of time to wait yet.

Denke nicht dass die Erwartungen zu hoch sind. Blickt man auf die letzten beiden Jahre so hatte man KOL/Radiohead und MAS/FF. Das wäre schon ein krasser Abfall wenn jetzt Volbeat/The Weeknd kommt

Hab gerade mal nachgefragt. Sie können nicht garantieren dass es eine Vorwarnung geben wird. Finde ich ziemlich scheiße! Weiß nicht, ob das einen motivieren soll schneller ein Ticket zu kaufen? Obwohl ich eigentlich denke, dass die Kombitickets wesentlich leichter im Überblick zu behalten sind.

Zur neuen Stage:

The Rock Werchter Festival takes place from Thursday 5 to Sunday 8 July at the Festivalpark in Werchter (Belgium), which will look the same, yet different, this year. It will be more beautiful than ever with the newly-laid lanes and freshly-planted trees and shrubs. And it's not just the Festivalpark that's had a makeover. The festival itself has had its familiar, successful formula refined, with more music on a new stage: The Slope. The multi-functional slope that was introduced in 2017 is to be given an additional role. A stage is to be built beneath the highest point of The Slope. The picnic tables will be moved a little further along. The space created under the colourful flags will become a cosy open-air arena for the young pups, the stars of tomorrow, and the newest discoveries of the festival bookers. Herman Schueremans: "It's no secret that we've been longing for a fourth stage. There are so many bands - not yet well-known - that we would love to introduce to the Rock Werchter audience. They are internationally known for being very receptive, and artists who go down well are warmly embraced, often forever. We've got some treats in store for music lovers.

Tash Sultana spielt am 10.09. in Berlin und laut fb Info verkaufen sich die Tickets schnell. Da sie aber zwischen dem 7. und 10.09. nichts weiter spielt und auch nicht so groß vom Namen her ist, dürfte das gut möglich sein. Vor allem weil sie auch gleich 2 Konzerte in Köln gibt.
