Radiohead are returning to the studio as well. They will work on new material at their recording space in Oxford, England, in December and January. "We can get things together quite rapidly at the moment," Yorke says brightly. He mentions one song, "Come to Your Senses." "We have this version of it. It's a five-minute rehearsal, but it has the essence of what we need.

"There are a few of those," he adds. "It would be fun to have them ready when we go to play next year. I don't know how we would release them." Yorke smiles hopefully. "It would be nice to make it all part of the flow and just enjoy it – not think about it too much."

Asked whether the band are in the studio, Greenwood said: "I’m late, they’ve all gone there now. We're currently playing and recording and it’s fun to see everyone again, it's been a long time coming, we've been waiting all of us for a long time." Greenwood says the album is in its earliest stages: "It always feels when we start up like we still don’t know really how to do it, and we don't know quite what to do. 'Looking down avenues' is a very kind way of putting the kind of fumbling that we do, mainly because every time we try and do it like the last time – because that worked – it never seems to work. So we talk about different approaches and we’re currently trying a bunch out.”

Jonny Greenwood:

We’ve done a couple of months of recording, and it has gone really well. We haven’t listened to anything back yet, so at the moment we’re all very happy. Now, I guess we’re going to go and listen to what we’ve done and see if we were right to be so happy. But we left it at a good place when we last stopped.
We’ve certainly changed our method again. It’s too involved [to explain how]. We’re kind of limiting ourselves; working in limits. So we’ll see what happens. It’s like we’re trying to use very old and very new technology together to see what happens.

Radiohead’s new album could be finished by the fall

“We’ve got quite a busy autumn coming up,” Selway explained. “We want to finish a record and that’s where we’re at. We’re just launching ourselves into it.”

"Lots has been recorded," he said of the new record, explaining that the band were "about to go through it all to see if it’s any good."

"We HOPE to tour next year," he added.

Radiohead Form New Company, Raising Speculation New Album is Imminent

In October, the members of Radiohead created a new company called Dawn Chorus LLP, as Radiohead forum At Ease points out (via Reddit and Consequence of Sound). It's notable because the band took similar steps ahead of releasing their last two albums, 2007's In Rainbows and 2011's The King of Limbs.

Steuervorteile?
