The Next Level Chapter of Touring Begins In Mexico!

After years in the making, we are beyond excited to finally unveil the all new, out of control, massive stage and Metalli-show to some of our most rabid fans in the world with two shows in Mexico City at Sports Palace on August 1 and 2, 2012.

When we last visited Mexico City in June of 2009, those three sold out nights with over 150,000 of our craziest friends at Foro Sol Stadium were some of the most memorable, over the top, insane shows we have ever played. Now we'll be back with a brand new show that features your favorite iconic elements spanning our entire 30 year touring career all on a massive stage that is twice the size of the World Magnetic set up... we think it's something that needs to be seen to believed!!!

Tickets go on sale on Saturday, March 24 at 11:00 AM at Ticketmaster.mx. There will be a Banamex pre-sale starting Thursday, March 22 at 11:00 AM, ending Friday March 23 at 8:00 PM.

Finally, Met Club members should log in for details about their special pre-sale that begins on March 20 at 11:00 AM and will end on March 21 at 8:00 PM.

Mexico will be the first to see what will be the cornerstone of our touring escapades for years to come. Don't be scared boys and girls, this is going next level and we are just getting started!

When was the last time Metallica premiered two never before played songs back to back? Don't know the answer, but it just happened here in Prague. The Black Album set opened with a small movie montage, and then into Struggle. Then the heavy bass of Misery pulsed thru the arena. God just finished, and Wolf is starting.... you get the idea here.....

Next Level Touring - Chapter Two

We recently told you about our all new, out of control, massive stage and Metalli-show that will debut in Mexico City in late July. The brand new show features your favorite iconic elements spanning our entire 30 year touring career all on a huge 140x50-foot stage that is twice the size of the World Magnetic set up... all in the round! Now after eight sold out shows there, we’re super psyched to take it north for a show with our Canadian friends in Edmonton, AB at Rexall Place on August 17.

Tickets go on sale on Friday, May 25 at 10:00 AM local time with a Live Nation pre-sale on Thursday, May 24 from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Met Club members should log in for details about their pre-sale starting Wednesday, May 23.

Earlier today we announced that our gigantic, massive brand new Metalli-show will head north following a sold out run in Mexico City, with the first stop in Edmonton, AB. We're back with another one 75 minutes later, this time in Vancouver, BC, on August 24 at Rogers Arena. And there is a TWIST – you'll be a part of the show!! That's right, we will be filming this show all in 3D for... you guessed it, the upcoming Metallica 3D movie that we've mentioned on and off a few times this year. We couldn't think of a better place than Vancouver to end our three week new stage run with cameras capturing it all, so bring your nuttiest, craziest Metalli-self to the show, be a part of movie history, and show the rest of the world how much Vancouver rocks.
