Kings Of Leon have been lined up to headline the Reading and Leeds Festival, according to a source close to the band.

Organisers are believed to be talking to a number of potential headliners for next year's rock weekend, but the US rockers have emerged as a near certainty.

A trusted source told us: "Kings Of Leon are definitely playing. They last played Reading and Leeds in 2007, second on the bill, and really should have been headliners then. They blew (headliners) Razorlight away.

"They love playing UK festivals and are really keen to get back with the new album ('Only By The Night')."

If Kings Of Leon are booked to play they would almost certainly headline following their top billing at Glastonbury Festival earlier this year.

Other possible headliners being touted for the three-day August bash, which is split between sites at Reading and Leeds, include AC/DC, Green Day and Arctic Monkeys

Die Festivals sind auch ohne AC/DC innerhalb von ner halben Stunde ausverkauft.

Mal sehen, ob sie dann bis Ende August durchgehend in Europa bleiben. Vielleicht auch ein Kandidat füür Pukkelpop/ Lowlands?

will i auch haben weiß sie kommen net zu uns

weiß jemand wann da (ungefähr) mal Bands bekannt gegeben werden?

und bis wann sollte man sich spätestens die Tickets im VVK sichern, damits nicht direkt ausverkauft ist?

Wann da Bands kommen, wird vorher angekündigt. Dann startet so ne Stunde später oder so der VVK, ausverkauft ist es wieder 20 Minuten später. Und die Seite ist dann völlig überlastet, also, da muss man sich wirklich ranhalten.

Neben den Arctic Monkeys und den Kings of Leon sind jetzt auch GREEN DAY "strong rumor" bei efestivals.
